At the moment I'm just living from day to day... All the days are going by so fast, especially the weekends, which I could use most importantly.
I've been exhausted a lot these days. I guess routine and daily life have finally completely settled in. I hope it's just a phase ;).
So what happened last week?
On Tuesday I took my last final in Latin for this semester. So Monday consisted of studying and all the other days somewhat too (for other classes ;) ). I happened to like tea lot which made studying a lot easier.
Also the chocolote contributed its part :))
So since I was done with all my finals I really wanted to work out again. I was really excited to go to the court club on Tuesday but guess what?! Ironically I got sick -.- Didn't go to school on Wednesday which was really nice because I think my body just needed a break.
On Friday I went to Gütersloh with Johanna, which I wrote about in my last post. I also met a very good friend of mine on the train who I haven't seen in forever. It was great catching up on stuff.
Saturday I went to a party which was alright... It was a beachparty so it was warm in there and since we were dancing pretty much the whole night I was all sweaty in the end. It was way too full but it was great getting out again and having fun with friends! :) And also I love dancing! :)
Sunday afternoon I hung out with Kathrin. She is one of my best friends and she seriously made my whole day, week and probably the whole month! Guess what she brought?!
STARBURST!!!!!!!!!!! straight from America which her sister had sent her (she's an exchange student now)!!
Had to take a picture too :)
Kathrin and I had some good girls talks :) I love her so much!
Monday arrived way too fast...
Today I had PE and we played B-Ball again. It was fun actually. It is never going to be my kind of sport but it felt good working out some. :)
Tomorrow is already the first of February... Unbelievable..
Well, Good night,
Eileen :)

Sunny Saturday ;)
My friend Nicole Renard posted his on facebook:
So yesterday I went to Gütersloh with Johanna. We haven't hung out for a while so it was good talking and spending time with each other :) I just love her!
Love,
In the end it will be okay. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.
I think she's totally right about that! In the end you will know what you lived for if you didn't know before. In the end you will understand the world. :)

Actually we went shopping and I got a new pair of earrings and a hat but we were looking for some nice shirts but guess what?! No cute shirts in Gütersloh... So we were really bummed. We had fun though ;)
All in all I feel a lot better than I did on Wednesday. I think the sun is contribuing her part to it too! :) We've been having a blue sky pretty much all week and the sun was (and is right now) shining all the time :) It's been freezing cold though... But I'd rather have it cold and sunny than warmer and rainy or something...
Tonight I'm going to a beachparty (yes in the Winter :D). Most of my friends are going and I'm really excited. Should be fun!
Also I'm going to hang out with Kathrin tomorrow! Haven't seen her in like forever! :D
So I better get going.. Need to clean up my room ... : /
Love,
Eileen

Well, I'm sorry I didn't blog for a while.
My weekend was lazy... I stayed at my grandma's and I baked rainbow muffins. They were pretty good and looked amazing but they were gone before I could take a picture :(
I read some too, which was good. :)
I even got some stuying done because today I took my Latin final. It went alright I think ;) But it was tmy last final which feels amazingly releving! :)
But I'm getting sick and that's not too great, especially because this week is pretty much all planned out. Fits perfectly :D
I guess that's it for the day.. I'm sort of out of it :D
Good night :)

weekend! finally!
At the moment I wish I was seeing this when I look out the window...
But unfortunately I see this...
Actually I don't really see anything because it's almost 8 pm now but I hope you get the point ;)
I'm just ready to see the sunshine again. The weather somehow effects my mood and this dark and ugly weather is not really the happy-weather. ;)

exhaustion
Today wasn't the best of days... Spent a lot of money for nothing, wasted 4 hours of my life and was soaking wet when I got home, because it started raining the instant I got out of the train.
So now I am really exhausted... I had to go to a college library to get some information for a project, but I couldn't check out any and so I don't have any information... Also the train tickets are way too expensive so that's why I had to spend 15 € only to get there and back -.- So luckily my mom is going to give me a ride after school tomorrow so I might be able to check some out...

3 down, 4 more to go
You know what I'd like to have now?
This:
Spring! I miss the green and the first flowers and the sun and the blue sky! I'm always excited for a new season but half way through I would like to be done with it and just go over to the next one ;)
I keep finding new bands this week. Or at least new for me... ;) For example The Almost, Mumford&Sons, Jack Johnson (yeah... never listened to him before), Mike Mains and the Branches and so on... Hope that's going to continue for a while because I am actually sort of sick of the music I have on my iPod and also of the music they're playing on the radio, because it's just getting old. So if anyone knows other cool bands-tell me! :D
I've been reading through my blog from the beginning again. It's fun to see how I've changed. My style of writing definitely improved, I'd like to think. Also the things I write about sort of changed. It's also cool to read about the things that happened this past half year. I wish I would have had a blog for my exchange year. I'm excited to read through it again in half a year, when I am going to celebrate my blog's first birthday! :)
Today I took my English final. It wasn't good but not real bad either. We'll see.
Also I got a B on my math final! That is so awesome, because I failed the midterm... So now my grade is saved! :D Anyways, I couldn't have done it without Noraly, because she tutored me ;)
So now I have four more finals this semester. Two this week. It's always overwhelming when you have so many exams in one week. When I'm right in the middle of the week, it's not as bad but the Sunday and Monday, the beginning, is always the hardest because you still have everything ahead of you.
So tomorrow I get to sleep in a little. My German class got cancled because the teacher is gone on a fieltrip. Also 6th hour got cancled because of some meeting for the teachers. Good time for some studying ;)
Good night,
Eileen

Last day of freedom...
Today is Sunday and school starts again tomorrow. It's going to ba a tough week because I have to take three finals and I am supposed to work on my English project as well. So I'm praying for strength for this coming week and that everything is going to work out.
Yesterday I wanted to buy an iPod docking station with a disk drive and stuff which was on sale, but it was already sold out so I was really bumped.
But the day got better because we also went to IKEA where I got the curtians I wanted and two baking sheets - one for pies! And since I think I found the right shortening for the pie crust I am hopefully going to make one this coming weekend! I haven't baked in a while and I miss it!
Also the sun came out yesterday and also today! That was so awesome and just makes me happy! It's supposed to get colder again tho...
Hope you all have a good week :)
Eileen

the sad side of Winter
My favorite thing about Winter is the snow. We had so much snow this year and I loved it! :)
But a couple days ago it started to melt away... Now there are all these yucky brown snow hills along the sidewalks and in the drive ways... This is the part about the Winter that I don't like... Everything looks so ... dead... Esxpecially the trees and bushes and stuff... When I see that I think about how it's going to look like in the Spring and that makes me happy :) . I like the Winter but I'm usually glad when it gets warmer and the sun comes out more often.
Some pictures of the "dead" forest :D haha
Looks sad doesn't it?!
I am really excited for Spring to come! :)

first post of 2011
Wow... I still can't believe it's 2011 already! I don't feel any different which I usually have but oh well ;)
I reflected on this past year in my last post on New Year's Eve and have edited it a little since then. There might still come some more things and pictures throughout the year everytime I think of something.
So how did I celebrate my New Year's Eve 2010/2011?
Well in the evening I had our traditional Christmas/New Year's dinner with my grandparents, my greatgrandma and my sister. It was de-lish like always ;)
Then my grandpa gave me a ride to a friend's house where I stayed over night. After that me and Verena went to the place where we were going to have our party. There were a lot of people I didn't know but it was still a lot of fun! Some were playing the Wii and the others were watching and it was just hilarious! We had some good laughs and a good time! :) Just before midnight we all went outside. We watched the fireworks and stuff and it was beautiful! :)
I called my host family to wish them a happy new year, although it wasn't midnight there yet but oh well ;) It was good talking to all of them! I love them so much! :) I found that my English hasn't gotten as bad as I'd expected. It took me a while to get back into it but in the end it felt like I'd never left :)
My phone bill is going to be epic this month but it was totally worth it ;)
Verena and I were home around 5 ish and we slept til 12:30 or so :D We talked a little and then my grandpa picked me up again. So thanks for driving me around so much!! :)) Love you!
So that was my New Year's or Silvester (that's what we say in German).
I didn't do anything except read, eat and go to the bathroom for the rest of the day ;) I started reading "The last song" by Nicholas Sparks. I've watched the movie in the US for the first time and since my sister got it on DVD in her Christmas calender I've watched it so often I know the lines by heart :D haha
Anyways, I finished the book today and I love it! It is so much different compared to the movie but since I've watched that one first I am not disappointed.. Luckily ;)
I'm kind of wondering if there actually are guys like Will out there... I hope so ;)
So now that I don't have anything to read here at my grandma's, where I'm staying over night, I sat down and thought about what I want to change or start doing this year. I almost wrote a full page of New Years Resolutions but here are just a few:
- blog at least three times a week; I sometimes have been really bad at blogging consistently...
- post highs and lows and favorite songs every weekend
- tell at least three people that I love them and care about them (and also why) every week; I found that I don't do that enough and now that I've read "The last song" I realized that I might not have enough time to do so. Anything could happen any minute and I would regret not having said "I love you" (I hope that doesn't sound too weird.. ;) )
- I want to get at least a B on the paper I am going to write in English
- get a job for Spring break and Summer
- visit my greatgrandma at least once a week; I realized I haven't spend much time with her since I got here, only when she was at my grandma's so I want to change that
- I want to read at least one book every one to two months; I don't have a lot of time to read since I'm a Junior and I almost forgot how much I love it and how relaxing it is
but I think the most important New Years Resolution is this one
- live every day to the fullest and enjoy every moment of this year; collect memories and smile evey day :)
Here are some pictures I took today:
I went for a walk with my grandparents and we saw some blue sky for the first time this Winter. I had to smile the whole walk :). What an amazing start into the new year!
Good night,
Eileen :)
