soaking in the sun

The last couple days I have mainly been sitting outside in the sun and reading. I slept a little too but mainly I read. That was well needed I can tell ya! During the week with all the school stuff and other things going on I simply don't have the time to read anymore, which is really sad cause I love getting my mind off of things by diving into a story that is totally not mine. When I read, I picture the characters and the surroundings and it feels like being in a different world. That's like the perfect way to escape daily-life. So now you know why I miss reading a good book. :)

My parents went to the United States of America for vacation for two weeks. I was so freakin' jealous! :D haha imagine that :D They went to New York City for a few days too. It's funny to think that they were right in that same spot where I was when I started my little adventure abroad! Not only that but they brought with them so many things that reminded me of so many things in the US! That was just awesome! :)

Sooo.. Tomorrow is the first of May and that is a holiday in Germany. Sad thing is it's on a Sunday this year which means we don't get a day off. Also tomorrow marks the end of my Spring break and I definitely could use at least one more week of relaxing in the sun with my book.
Anyways, back to tomorrow: The tradition for May-1st is that you go bike riding. There are tons of places everywhere where you can stop and eat and drink and take a break. It's a nice thing. Tomorrow we're gonna be a group of at least 24 people... Maybe even more! I've never been with such a big group but I think it's gonna be fun. In the end we're going to have a BBQ in my town which is nice, cause then I don't have to ride too far back home, especially since school starts the next day.. :D  So not too much drinking for us... At least we're not supposed to :D Hahaha :D

Spring Break

Hello there! :)

I've gotten really bad at blogging... Ugh that makes me sad. I just don't know if it's worth it. I haven't come up with a lot of interesting things like everybody else and I doubt my boring daily life is very interesting. Oh well.. I don't want to end it either because that would mean that I didn't finish something. Again.

Okay, enough of the sad stuff.
My Sping/Easter break of two weeks is going to an end. Sadly. :/ The weather has been so amazingly good! Just the perfect weather for a girl that does not like hot weather and who does not live in a house with airconditioning! :) It was kinda rainy the last couple of days but the sun came out today and has been showing it's best side since noon.
So, what have I been doing lately? Actually not that much interesting stuff. I hung out with Sebastian a lot. Also I had a girls night with a few very good friends and my sister! That was fun and well needed too! I've been pretty busy... Today I took a day off though ;) When the sun started to shine, I sat outside, read my book, finally started to answer some letters and ate cake.

It was pretty relaxing. I wish I had done that more often this past week.

This morning I went to Gütersloh to check out the bakery where I am going to intern the two weeks before Summer. Since I love baking I'm hoping to learn some stuff! :) It's going to be exhausting though because I have to start at 5:30 in the morning.. :D haha oh well... I'll survive it for two weeks... At least I hope so :D

it's Spring!

Well, hello there! It's been a while...

The sun has been shining for some time now. We got like the perfect Spring weather! :) Makes me happy. I like Spring more than Summer. At least when I think of the weather. I hate it when it's too hot.. 25° C w/o wind and with a perfectly blue sky is my favorite! I am totally no fun to be around when it's warmer than this. I get sun burns too quickly and I hate body lotion/sun lotion (which is definitely not a good combination). So because of this I like Spring better than Summer. Also I love how the change of weather from cold, snowy, dark and yucky turns to warm(er), sunny, bright and awesome! That alone makes me be in a better mood. I like literally seeing flowers blossoming and seeing how the brown grass turns freshly green! I like that you can get more fruits and veggies that look and taste like Spring.
Of course there are good things about Summer too: my birthday is in Summer, we have 6 weeks of break, etc. but Spring is just way better. :D

So... What happened since I last blogged?
My great grand ma tripped and fell and broke her ellbow. We had to call an ambulance. She's been in the hospital for more than a week now. She had surgery on Tuesday this week and seems to be doing better now. That was something..
I finished up all my midterms. Most of them went pretty well. I got an A- for my English project on American teens and religion. Also I did pretty good on my Math midterm! The average was a D+... Sad huh?! :D
I watched "I am Number 4" with Sebastian and another couple on Tuesday. It's a good movie but has an open ending. They better make a second part fast! :D I have no clue tho what it's gonna be about, because all the bad guys are gone.. We'll see.. ;)
Yesterday I had Drama. We'll have our play on Wednesday! And there is so much left to do! Most people left around noon, but 6 of us stayed til 3. It's always the same... I hope it'll be good. No.. It WILL be good! So: everyone come and watch!! ;)
Last weekend I played beach v-ball with some people. That was fun too. I suck pretty badly but I just love playing that game! :D I miss v-ball practice like crazy! Hardest work out ever but so much fun! :) I am going again today. We just have to use that awesome weather for something ;)
